Description

In 2020 earth had a special visitor: Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise. Comets, especially bright ones of that magnitude don't grace our skies often, with the time between such opportunities sometimes decades apart. So I went out determined to capture the comet.
To get this shot I had to park the truck on the road, climb into the back, stand in the bed of the truck because the ground was feet above the road, and fenced in so I had to get enough height to shoot over the rails. I cut the lights to the truck, but had a helper who was to immediately turn on headlights and brake lights if we heard a car.

We see the tail of Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise stretch out as if it is falling besides a windmill in Fairy, Texas. ☄️
