A vibrant mosaic depicts a lion in a dynamic pose, constructed from colorful ceramic tiles. This is from the processional way of ancient Babylon near the Ishtar Gate on display in the Pergammon Museum in Berlin, Germany. Lions were a symbol of the Goddess Ishtar. The artwork features a palette of blues, oranges, and beiges that bring the scene to life.
